Description
The X1-Carbon is a fully enclosed CoreXY with a micro-lidar for first-layer inspection, an AI camera that flags spaghetti and stringing during the print, and a hardened extrusion path for carbon- and glass-filled filaments. Strain-gauge levelling, input shaping and a 256 mm heat-retaining chamber are for engineering materials and unattended runs. The micro-lidar resolves detail down to 7 microns, enough to catch adhesion problems before a print fails, and the CoreXY toolhead can reach 20,000 mm/s² without giving up the accuracy the lidar is there to check. On a 220V circuit it draws up to 1000 W, so the enclosed chamber heats quickly enough that engineering filaments are ready to print rather than waiting on a slow warm-up.
